The return of our partnership with Spire FM and the Chamber of Commerce sees the major media and business organisations for the city all pull together for one cause. Salisbury Chamber of Commerce are proud to be organising the South Wilts Business Expo in 2018; returning the Business Expo back to the business community. We regularly organise networking events and facilitate opportunities for building better business, through focused support and mentoring. Our Board of Directors are exemplary in their knowledge and expertise and will be available throughout the Expo for business brainstorming.
The Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SWLEP) is a private sector led partnership between local businesses, Swindon Borough Council, Wiltshire Council, the military and the education sector. Working with its partners, the SWLEP sets the economic priorities for Swindon and Wiltshire and facilitates projects that help accelerate economic growth and job creation in the area. Between 2014 and 2021 the SWLEP will invest £518m in growing the local economy, including £169m from three local growth deals with Government.
Wiltshire College works closely with local and regional employers in and around the South West, delivering a wide range of professional and vocational qualifications. As a provider of work-based learning programmes and bespoke training packages for business, our courses are all designed to enhance the skills sets of your employees, adding to their continual professional development. The College is also a major provider of apprenticeships. Working with well-known employers in and around the region, apprenticeships are a great alternative to traditional learning, giving young and mature learners alike the opportunity to earn as they learn as they work alongside experienced staff in the workplace to gain nationally recognised qualifications.
